Management Team

Larry J. Dietrick, P.E., President, has 17 years of executive and engineering experience in the telecommunications and broadband industry. Headquartered in Lombard, Illinois, Larry is responsible for strategic business development, management, implementation, support, and sales of Scientel's advanced broadband, digital microwave and advanced cable and fiber optic solutions. Prior to joining Scientel, Mr. Dietrick was General Manager for NUS Corporation, with primary responsibilities of telecommunication strategic product creation and promotion with the Utility Industry. During his 22 year career, Mr. Dietrick has extensively dealt with engineering and project management including international experience in South Korea and the Middle East.

Nelson C. Santos, Vice President - Business Development, has successfully lead organizations in strategically selecting technology solutions for over a decade. Nelson is responsible for guiding the organization and technical engineering staff into new and emerging wireless technologies and applications, developing technical partnerships, marketing and sales strategies, and providing technical direction and oversight for Scientel, its clients and its partners. Prior to joining Scientel, Nelson consulted system integrators, government and enterprises on Information Technology and Wireless Broadband Communication Systems. Nelson provides first-hand knowledge of the technical and business aspects of various wireless communication networks. During his career, Nelson has held senior management positions in the technology and nuclear industries, including international experience in the Caribbean and the Middle East.

Hal Carey, General Manager – Southern Region. Hal Carey has over 30 years experience in all facets of telecommunications management both wireline and wireless, domestic and international. He led several startup companies from concept to fully functioning successful entities and has led large company operations organizations concentrating on revenue growth in existing markets, expansion of service offerings and developing new products as technology and opportunities arise. As General Manager of the Southern Region Hal is continuing this history of successful growth and expansion as well as providing leadership for existing client projects. Hal has been involved in numerous emerging technology companies and has international experience in much of Europe including France, Germany, The UK, Hungary, Italy and South and Central America as well as Asia. Hal is a retired Navy Officer.

Dennis Broderick, Sr. Engineering Manager, has over 24 years of Business Operation and Technical expertise in enterprise-level IT systems. He comes from a technical infrastructure back ground that includes internet, wireless architectures, satellite communications, telecommunications, package software installation, client/server, AS400 and Mainframe based communications. With both corporate business and consulting experience, his skills span a wide and diverse understanding of business and the use of technology as a tool to create efficiency. Mr. Broderick’s major career accomplishments include 10 years as an executive partner with Whitman-Hart – assisting in the growth and supervision of a $70 million dollar profit center as the National Director for Network Enabled Solutions Division. He also acted as project/account manager for several high profile Fortune 500 companies. Dennis was the President for Wifi-Plus Inc. Advanced Antenna Solutions. He guided the startup wireless manufacturer from initial organization through product development and marketing launch; focusing his efforts on branding, quality control and sales development. Other Positions Dennis has held include director of research and development for an oil and gas company focused on wireless communications in difficult environments and COO of an application server provider focused on customer connectivity and remote access.

Michael Anderson, Sr. Business Development Manager, is an accomplished senior executive with 25 years experience in information technology, infrastructure services, and technology consulting. Along with a thriving record of selling and managing consulting services engagements, Mike is skilled in managing successful technology implementations and building long-term relationships with client leadership. At Scientel Wireless, he is responsible for developing new business, expanding opportunities with existing clients, and project leadership. Prior to joining Scientel Wireless, Mr. Anderson held numerous technical leadership positions with the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, AtHome America, and Whittman-Hart. Mike earned his BS in Computer Science from DePaul University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
